Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Baked chocolate cake or brownies, cut into cubes
  • Chocolate syrup
  • Instant vanilla or chocolate pudding
  • Whipped cream
  • Chocolate jimmies (sprinkles)
  1. Step 1

Prepare a 9x13 inch chocolate sheet cake or pan of brownies following the recipe on the box. Allow the cake or brownies to cool completely before slicing into small squares.

  2. Step 2

Make the instant vanilla pudding following the recipe on the box while the cake is cooling. True chocolate lovers may prefer chocolate pudding rather than vanilla.

  3. Step 3

  4. Step 4

Layer the trifle ingredients in the following order: cake squares, chocolate syrup and instant pudding. Repeat the process twice and then spread the whipped cream on top of the layers.

  5. Step 5

Sprinkle chocolate jimmies over the top of the whipped cream layer of your trifle.

  6. Step 6

Refrigerate until time to serve dessert.
