How to Prepare for Shipping in Bulk

  1. Step 1

Select the right box. A good choice for bulk shipping is a corrugated box.

  2. Step 2

Prepare labels for placing on box/or boxes.

  3. Step 3

Have sturdy tape on hand and ready to go. Use nylon or water activated reinforced tape.

  4. Prepare the Inside of the Box

  5. Step 1

Use cushioning material to prevent damage. Obtain bubble pack, air bags, "peanuts," or foam enclosures.

  6. Step 2

Place cushioning material securely around your items and tape if necessary.

  7. Step 3

Fill all empty space with other fillers like paper cushioning.

  8. Seal Packages Tightly and Label

  9. Step 1

Close box securely with three strips of tape on top and bottom.

  10. Step 2

Place completed labels on both sides of the box. Include all information.

  11. Step 3

Put the senders information in the upper left corner of the packages.

  12. Cost and Arrival Time

  13. Step 1

Prepare for cost by calling your carrier or checking online for rates.

  14. Step 2

Check arrival times. Date of arrival is most often based on how many days shipping you pay for.

  15. Step 3

    Select carrier and bring packages.

  16. Mail Packages

  17. Step 1

Ask about date of delivery to verify.

  18. Step 2

Recheck labels and pay for service.

  19. Step 3

    Insure package contents if necessary.

Tips & Warnings
  • Check guidelines for box strength.
  • Special procedures are not always taken when "Fragile" appears on the package. Place "UP" arrows on the box.
