Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit

    • 1

Hollow out the centers of an orange, pear, red apple and green apple using a fruit corer or small pairing knife.

    • 2

Turn each piece of fruit over and take a thin slice off bottom, so the fruit will not tip sideways.

    • 3

Place a tall taper candle inside each piece of fruit.

    Arrange the Centerpiece

    • 4

Place a large wooden cutting board on the center of the table.

    • 5

Place the fruit and candles in the center of the board.

    • 6

Around the fruit and candles place clusters of red and green grapes, orange kumquats and Turkish figs, cut in half.

    • 7

At each corner of the cutting board, place assorted wedges of cheese, such as goats cheese, cheddar, blue and fontina cheese.

    • 8

Around each wedge of cheese place an assortment of crackers and cheese knives.

    • 9

Light the candles just before your guests arrive.
