Having jewelry making parties can be a lot of fun and very profitable. When you can get your friends and family together, it makes your business even more enjoyable. Through word of mouth, having parties can be very lucrative. By doing a job in which you enjoy and the feeling you get by helping others learn, can be worth your while and bring in a great steady income too.

Things You’ll Need:

  • Jewelry Making Supplies: beads, wire, clasps, etc
  • containers to put beads and supplies in
  • A group of friends or family who can invite other guests along also
  • Light snacks: finger sandwiches, chips, etc.
  • Quiet music to play in the background for inspiration
  • A table or area for everybody to work at
  • Notebook and pencil
  • Postcards or invitations

Step1
Create or order some postcards to let everyone know about your party. Postcards can be ordered for free for new accounts at VistaPrint.com. Mail all of your cards to the people you wish to invite. Tell them to bring an extra guest, and have specials or a free gift for those who do bring extra people.
Step2
Set up your work area. Have plenty of beads, stringing material, and clasps available for everyone to work with. Have a separate area for light snacks and drinks. Play light music in the background for some creative inspiration.
Step3
Set one price for each type of jewelry. For example, $6 for a bracelet, $8 for a necklace, and $3 for a pair of earrings. Collect money from all of the guests before getting started.
Step4
Type up some simple instructions for creating pieces of jewelry such as a bracelet, necklace or a pair of earrings. Have the instructions available for all of the guests. Be available for anybody that may need extra help in making their creation.
Step5
Keep a separate notebook so that you can note down all of the orders from the parties. Write down all of the bracelets, necklaces, and pair of earrings that were made. Also be sure to write down your current number of supplies and what needs to be purchased for next time.
Step6
Schedule your next upcoming party, and be sure to let your guests know too. Have special incentives for those who order a specific amount of jewelry or ones who bring guests. Have your parties frequently to keep interest of your current and new customers.
