How to Play Halloween Zombies
Halloween is a great time to put a scary twist on traditional party games and zombies are the perfect monster for party games. All children need is imagination to make these monsters come to life--no props are necessary. Here are three fun ways to bring Halloween Zombies to your kids' party. Does this Spark an idea?

Zombie Grunt

Mark out a graveyard to keep the zombies in one area.

Blindfold the zombie.

Have the zombie hunt down its victims by walking around with her arms extended and grunting.

When he grunts, all the other zombies must grunt back.

Capture of a victim passes the curse and the blindfold is passed on to the new zombie.
Frozen Zombie

Stake out a large graveyard. This will be the play area.

Make one player "it." The "it" player is a human who chases down the zombies and freezes them dead by touching them.

Once a zombie is tagged, she must remain frozen in one place.

Defrosting can be done by zombies who haven't been tagged yet. If they touch a frozen player, the player is again an undead zombie and can rejoin the game.

End the game when all but one player is frozen or set a time limit and give prizes to the unfrozen players.
Zombie Screech

Lay out a graveyard. It should be dry; the living room floor is good.

Choose one player as "it." He will be the first zombie.

Have the rest of the players lie as corpses on the floor.

Have the zombie try to make the corpses into zombies by awakening them from their death slumber. Jokes, tickling and funny noises are all acceptable means of waking the dead.

Making any sound at all is a sign of being undead, especially screeches and giggles. Once you are an undead zombie, you join the human in trying to wake the dead.

The last corpse left lying wins.
