How to Get Information on Submarine Duty Pay
The United States military uses a system of incentive pay to reward servicemen and women who take additional risks and challenges as part of their assigned duties. Congress has authorized monthly incentives for military personnel who fly, spend long periods of time at sea and face separation from their families. In the same way, those stationed on submarines are paid a monthly incentive called submarine duty pay.

Keep records of your work on board submarines. Your incentive pay is based upon the amount of time spent on a submarine each month. You'll need these records in case you have discrepancies when you get your pay.
-
2
Serve on board a submarine for 48 hours in a month and you will receive one month of submarine duty pay.
