You probably received several gifts at your wedding shower. Your friends and family are helping to make your new house a home with their gifts. You want to let them know how much you appreciate their thoughtfulness. Here are a few tips to writing your wedding shower thank you notes.

From Quick Guide: Giving Thanks with a Note
Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Thank you notes
  • Envelopes
  • Stamps
  1. Step 1

Buy thank you notes from a party store. Party stores have a large selection from which to choose. Coordinate the thank you notes with the same style as your wedding shower invitations.

  2. Step 2

Sort through your gifts and place the card that came with each gift by the gift. If you had someone write down who gave each present at the wedding shower, find the list. This will make writing your thank you notes much easier.

  3. Step 3

Thank the guest first for coming to the wedding shower. Describe specifically how you plan to use the gift they gave in your new home. Tell what you plan to buy with gift cards. People want to know that their wedding shower gift is being used and appreciated. Let them know that you and your fiance appreciate their gift.

  4. Step 4

Address all envelopes, place stamps on envelopes and stuff envelopes with the thank you note. Now you are ready to mail your wedding shower thank you notes. Try to mail them within a week or two of the wedding shower, but definitely no more than a month later.
