Difficulty: Moderately Challenging
Step1
Stop at the SSAT's website, ssat.org, and look at the links under, "Preparing for the Test" on the sidebar. Much of what you will need to study for the test will be located here.
Step2
Click "Sample Test Questions." This brings up a page of practice questions from four of the five sections of the test. Verbal, quantitative, and reading sections are answered right on the site.
Step3
Consider purchasing the official SSAT study guide. This has two sample tests included to help in your study preparation.
Step4
Locate a SSAT tutor if you feel you need the extra help. You can locate a tutor and get tutoring online at tutor.com.
Step5
Devise a study strategy. Don't wait until a week before your testing date to start studying. Take time each night and do just a few problems or word associations. The SSAT study guide and practice test can help you organize your time wisely.
