How to Make an Edible Wedding Centerpiece

If you are looking for a centerpiece that is both functional and beautiful, try making your own edible wedding centerpiece. Peppermint topiaries do double duty as breath-taking centerpieces and breath-freshening after dinner treats. Combine form and function with your own special edible wedding centerpiece. Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Small terra-cotta pot
  • White spray paint
  • Scissors
  • Peppermint sticks
  • Peppermint candies in varying shapes
  • Styrofoam topiary form
  • Hot glue gun
  • Decorator's icing
  1. Step 1

    Spray paint the outside of the terra-cotta pot white and let it dry completely.

  2. Step 2

    Apply hot glue to the base of the Styrofoam topiary form and place it in the pot.

  3. Step 3

    Cut peppermint sticks to the height of the topiary post and glue them to the post, leaving the wrappers on the peppermint sticks.

  4. Step 4

    Coat the top of the topiary form with decorator's icing.

  5. Step 5

    Place peppermint candies in the icing until the entire topiary is covered.

  6. Step 6

    Spread icing on the top of the base of the topiary form and place peppermint candies in the icing.

  7. Step 7

    Let the edible wedding centerpiece dry overnight to set the candies in the icing.
