Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Check out online sport sites like Wake Boarding Magazine or water skiing clubs. They'll list upcoming events by date and location, so you should have no problem finding one near you.
Step2
Get to the competition early. Seating for wakeboarding events is usually on a first-come first-served basis. Depending upon the location of the event, there might be bleacher seating or lakeside seating. Bring a blanket and a cushioned bench seat just to play it safe.
Step3
Bring sun block and a hat. It can get extremely hot standing in the sun for a few hours, so unless looking like a lobster appeals to you, it's best to apply the sun block prior to leaving for the competition.
Step4
Fill a cooler with cold drinks and snacks. Some wakeboarding competitions have sponsor booths set up that sell food and drinks, but it's always best to come prepared just in case your stomach growls half-way through the event.
Step5
Ask a friend to join you, preferably one with knowledge of the sport. That way you can ask questions about popular wakeboarding athletes and tricks.
Step6
Have fun and enjoy the competition while soaking up some rays and working on your tan.
