Step 1
Decide how much you want to ask for it. If your local pet store has the same breed for sale, you can compare the price. Also, decide if you want to include the aquarium in the sale. A person may be more inclined to buy an animal if he has a place to keep it.
-
Step 2
Let any friends or family that you think might be interested know about it. If someone close to you wants it, you may save yourself some time and effort in trying to sell it.
-
Step 3
Take a picture of it for putting on flyers. Try to get the picture clear enough for people to see exactly what you're selling. These flyers can advertise how much money you're asking for your pet spider and how to contact you. Mention everything that you're including in the sale.
-
Step 4
Ask your local grocery store if you can put one of these flyers in the window of the store or on their message board. You can also ask the local veterinarian if you can put a flyer up in the clinic. Explain to them what you're trying to sell so that they understand what you want to post.
-
Step 5
Meet with the person who is interested in buying your spider. If you aren't comfortable with a check, ask her to bring cash to the sale. Decide if this person is the one you want to sell to.
-
Step 6
Trade your pet spider and any accessories for the money and you're done!
