Party games are a great way to make your event memorable and they can break the ice almost immediately. But, well, let's just state it right up front. If the sorority party involves the guys, it's a very different thing! Of course, they will play party games, too; but keep that in mind when making the party game plan. Read on to learn more.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Game ideas from party stores, websites and friends
  1. Step 1

Get all the party details. The kind of event (pledge party, a big bash with the guys, a girls-only night) and the theme are important. Find out from the party chair how much time during the event should be for games.

  2. Step 2

Ask the party chair for the games budget. Some games only require a few things lying around the house. There are lots of games for sale that do not cost very much.

  3. Step 3

Find party game ideas by visiting a party store, searching websites and making notes about games you have played at other events. Think about several different kinds of games. For instance, an ice-breaker might be to hide a common item on each girl (a safety pin, a hoop earring, a band-aid). Give each person a list of items to find and the one who finds the most wins a prize.

  4. Step 4

Get a few sorority members to be part of your games committee. You only need one or two meetings. Do a brainstorming session on games that would work for the event, and make a list of what is needed for each. Assign one member of the committee to be in charge of running each game.

  5. Step 5

Buy whatever game materials, or game sets might be needed.

  6. Step 6

Do a test drive of each game with the committee. Make adjustments to the games to off-set problems, and remember you will be doing this in a large group so it needs to be organized!

Tips & Warnings
  • Search through party game ideas for bachelorette parties, showers and other all-girls events and adapt them.
  • If the guys are coming, search for party game ideas for Valentine's Day or jack-and-jill parties and adapt them for your event.
  • Drinking games can be fun, but it is important to plan ones that involve small amounts. The last thing you want is alcohol poisoning.
