Casino nights are fun and exciting events, but why spend extra time and money on invitations when you could be concentrating more on decorations, music, activities, food and fun? Fortunately, the Internet makes it possible to send out Ecards, a free and easy way to invite guests to casino night in style, but without the extra time, hassle and cost.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Personal email address
  • Guest email addresses
  1. Step 1

Sign up for a free email account if you don't already have one. Visit sites such as Hotmail and Yahoo! for options.

  2. Step 2

Write down the names of guests you wish to invite.

  3. Step 3

Write down each guest's email address next to his/her name.

  4. Step 4

Open your Internet browser and type the URL of an Ecard website in the address field, such as Evite (see Resources below).

  5. Step 5

Browse the available free ecards, looking for a theme particularly suited to your event, or design your own. You may wish to search terms such as "Casino night," "Poker night" or "Game night."

  6. Step 6

Select a free Ecard by clicking on it and enter invitation details including title, date, time, place, your contact information and a message to your guests.

  8. Step 8

Select a reply style, which allows guests to select "Attending," "Undecided" or "Declining." This will help you keep track of how many guests to expect. You may also wish to check for an option offering to email you when guests reply to the invitation.

  9. Step 9

    Preview your invitation, if desired.

  10. Step 10

    Click "Send."

  • Check for options such as "Notify me when recipient views Ecard" and "Email me when guests reply." You may wish to select these options to stay updated.
  • Send Ecards at least two weeks in advance.
  • You may wish to select the option for a reminder card, which will automatically be sent to the original mailing list one week before the event.
  • Save the contacts to the ecard service address book to avoid having to re-enter information in the future.
  • Double-check guest email addresses to be sure you have typed them correctly.
  • Make sure guests check their email regularly, or they may not receive your invitation! If you have any doubts, you may wish to call.
