Selling a sedan requires effective marketing and advertisement. Traditional methods might include listing the sedan in automobile trade magazines and in newspaper ads. However, online automobile marketing sites, such as Autotrader.com, are increasingly popular. Listing a sedan online increases the chance of a buyer being found because the sedan has more exposure to a larger volume of consumers. Read on to find out more.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Step1
Use the Kelly Blue Book or NADA Guides website to determine the value of your sedan.
Step2
Wash the sedan thoroughly using Armor All Ultra Shine Wash and Wax. Be sure to remove all road grime, focusing especially on the front of the sedan and on the lower half of the doors as these are the areas where buildup is likely to occur.
Step3
Spray Armor All Triple Action Wheel Cleaner on the wheels, let sit for 5 minutes then wash it off. Spray Armor All Tire Foam on the tires. This will give them a shiny new look.
Step4
Make sure all routine maintenance is up to date by checking in your owner's manual to see what needs to be done. If there are maintenance items to be performed, take the sedan to a certified mechanic to have the work done and keep all the receipts so that you can show potential buyers a record of maintenance.
Step5
Clean the interior of the sedan. You will need to vacuum and shampoo the upholstery and carpets, and wipe down all the solid surface interior parts with Armor All Cleaning Wipes.
Step6
Take pictures of the sedan on a bright sunny day. You will want good pictures of your shiny clean sedan for potential buyers to see!
Step7
Place a "For Sale" sign in the window of the sedan and leave it parked at the end of a busy parking lot. The more exposure to potential buyers that you can give your sedan, the better your chances of making a quick sale!
Step8
Take out a "For Sale" ad in the classified section of your local newspaper. Many sedan buyers are older and still turn to the newspaper to find a used car.
Step9
Place an ad on one or more online car sale sites such as Autotrader, Cars or Carsdirect. Be sure to upload the pictures that you took of your sedan into your ad because a picture is worth a thousand words!
