Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Use the Kelly Blue Book or NADA Guides website to determine the value of your minivan.
Step2
Wash the minivan thoroughly with Armor All Ultra Shine Wash and Wax. Be sure to remove all road grime, focusing especially on the front bumper and the long hood of the minivan as these areas seem to get especially dirty.
Step3
Spray Armor All Triple Action Wheel Cleaner on the wheels. Let the cleaner sit for 5 minutes, then wash off. Spray Armor All Tire Foam on the tires to give them a shiny new look.
Step4
Make sure all routine maintenance is up to date by checking in your owners manual to see what needs to be done. If there are maintenance items to be performed, take the minivan to a certified mechanic to have the work done. Keep all the receipts so that you can show potential buyers a record of maintenance.
Step5
Clean the interior of the minivan. Vacuum and shampoo the upholstery and carpets, and wipe down all the solid surface interior parts with Armor All Cleaning Wipes. Make sure to remove the seats and clean down inside the tracks where they lock in (lots of garbage can collect in there). Cleaning the interior of a minivan is very important because most potential buyers are parents who will want to put their children in a clean environment.
Step6
Take pictures of the minivan on a bright sunny day. You will want good pictures of your shiny, clean minivan for potential buyers to see!
Step7
Place a "For Sale" sign in the window of the minivan and leave it parked at the end of a toy store parking lot. The more exposure to potential buyers that you can give your minivan, the better your chances of making a quick sale!
Step8
Take out a "For Sale" ad in the classified section of your local newspaper. Many people still turn to the newspaper to find a used car.
Step9
Place an ad on one or more online car sale sites, such as Autotrader, Cars or Carsdirect. Be sure to upload the pictures that you took of your minivan into your ad because a picture is worth a thousand words.
