How to Join a Replica Car Club

Not everyone can afford a real Lamborghini, Ferrari or Shelby. It's a lot easier to get a replica! Whether for those who build their own replicas or those who just buy and collect them, there are replica car clubs out there ready for new members.

1. Go to a car show. Check your local newspaper or look online for shows in your area. You'll surely find fellow lovers of replica cars at the show. Just start chatting with some of them, and you're bound to find someone who can point you toward a club.
2. Check your local newspaper for ads placed by people who want to buy or sell replica cars. These would be good sources in your search for a club.
3. Investigate the kit club. Inquire about fees, meetings, the members and anything else that might affect whether you enjoy being a part of it.

• If you do join a club online, be careful about giving out personal information. Identity thieves are everywhere. Don't give out anything unless you know there's a good reason to and are confident that the club will keep it secure. If there are fees associated with joining or remaining a member, don't be shy about asking why the fees exist, where the money goes and how you can be sure your payment information is secure.
