How to Get Help Finding a Warehouse Job

Finding yourself out of a job or just needing a change of scenery at work can be stressful. There are many options available to you if you are looking for a new job, especially in an industry like warehousing. Companies are always in need of good honest employees in their warehouses and you could be their next hire.

      Prepare a resume listing past job experience, especially in warehouses. There are resume-building templates in your computer's word processing software. You can also get resume help from employees at your local labor department.

      Call or visit your local temporary employment agencies. Manpower and Kelly Services are examples. Ask if any companies are hiring for warehouse positions. If so, ask if and how you can apply. Search the websites of the same temporary agencies. Warehouse jobs might be listed on their websites and you might be able to apply right on line.

      Search the website Warehousejobs.com. This site lists only warehouse jobs all over the country.

      Visit your labor department. The people at this agency are skilled at finding people jobs and they can help you with applying and interviewing.

      Read the classified ad section of your newspaper, preferably the Sunday edition. Most jobs are placed in Sunday's newspapers. Look under the heading "warehouse jobs" and see if there is a job that interests you.

  • Dress nicely for your job interview even if it's just an appointment with an employment agency. Suits and ties look best for a man but if you do not own a suit, just wear a nice pair of ironed pants and a neatly ironed shirt. The same goes for women. If you don't own a suit, nice pressed pants or a skirt with a neat blouse will do.
