So you want to buy an overhead projector? Like other types of technology, there are hundreds to choose from. Almost every well-known, and some less well-known, electronics manufacturers make them. You can find consumer reviews to help you decide which is best for you.

Instructions

Difficulty: Easy

Step1
Start with a well-known retail website. Websites that attract a lot of customers will have more product reviews. Look at many different brands and make notes on the ones that interest you. You may also want to create a list of brands that you are interested in but that are not reviewed on that website.
Step2
If you want a review of a specific overhead projector, go to your favorite internet search engine and type it in. You'll get lots of consumer websites that sell that model. Only some of them will might have a review. Be patient and keep looking. The review of the overhead projector you want is out there!
Step3
Talk to people who work with overhead projectors. Teachers, doctors and business people probably use some type of overhead projector every day. Ask them about what they like about their projectors and what they don't like. They might even be able to recommend the brand they use, or they might tell you to stay away from that brand--which is equally as helpful!
Step4
Keep notes on some of the best overhead projector reviews that you've found. You probably only found three or five that really interested you.
Step5
Find information on each overhead projector that you are interested in from the manufacturer's site. You can use this information to compare the projectors and figure out which one is best for you.

Tips & Warnings

  • People will not usually review a product online unless they were very impressed with the product or very disappointed. You will probably find reviews that express one of these extremes. If you cannot find a review for an overhead you're interested in, there's a good chance that it is an average machine.
  • Always look for testimonials. Five-star ratings can be misleading because you cannot know if someone voted more than once.
