Check with your local recreation and park district. They offer many different classes and depending on what is in demand in your area, they might offer modern dance classes.

Visit the craigslist website and see if anyone is advertising classes in your area. Click on the name of your city or the closest large city to your area. Under the "Community" heading, click on "classes."

Go to the yellowpages.com website and type in modern dance in the search engine. Input the name of your city and try nearby cities as well. Some of the advertisements show what classes they offer but on others you may need to call.

Search at your local health clubs. Many of them offer classes with the membership, or they may have a bulletin board available full of advertisements.

Log on to the website for your community college. Community colleges offer a large variety of dance classes, including modern dance.

Go to the YMCA in your area and see if they are offering any modern dance classes. They may also be able to refer you to someone if they do not have any classes available.
