How to Change Online Status to Invisible on MySpace

MySpace takes the privacy wishes of its users very seriously. It offers various settings that allow users to customize their privacy status to whatever degree they desire. Whether you want your entire profile hidden or just want spammers to stop harassing you, there is a solution. MySpace even offers a way to hide your "Online now" status. Set your web presence to invisible to browse without being bothered.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Enter your email address and password on the MySpace home page to log in to account.

  2. Step 2

    Choose the "Account settings" link located to the right of your default image on your home page.

  3. Step 3

    Choose the "Privacy settings" link.

  4. Step 4

    Scroll down to the second box titled "Privacy settings." Check the box that says "Hide online now."

  5. Step 5

    Scroll to the bottom of the screen and click the "Change settings" button. The site redirects you to the top of the page. A message appears in red that says "Your privacy settings have been updated." This lets you know your online status settings have successfully changed.

  6. Step 6

    Click the "Home" link at the very top of the page to return to your profile.

  7. Step 7

    Within a few moments, the "Online now" icon disappears from underneath your default picture. If this does not happen, log out and re-enter your sign-in information.
