MySpace has evolved quickly over the past few years. Its creators strive to add more features and allow users to express who they are, not just to their friends, but to anyone who views their profile. Music is one way to do this. If you are new to MySpace, learn how to add a favorite song to your account and express your MySpace mood through music.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Sign in to your MySpace account by entering your email address and password on site's home page.

  2. Step 2

Decide what song you are interested in adding to your MySpace profile.

  3. Step 3

Choose the "Music" link on the top right side of your home page. Select the "Music" link. Your browser then takes you to the MySpace Music page.

  4. Step 4

Go to the "Search Artist" box at the top right of the MySpace Music page.

  5. Step 5

Enter the artist responsible for the creation of the song you are interested in adding and hit the "Search" button.

  6. Step 6

Browse through the list of songs that MySpace Music found relating to your artist's name.

  7. Step 7

Click the link on each page to display and listen to music that is uploaded from that specific site.

  8. Step 8

Search the pages until you find the song you are looking for. This may take some time, as all songs are not listed on MySpace and some artists routinely delete pages that are not official sites. Creative searching is sometimes necessary to find that perfect song.

  9. Step 9

Pick the song you want to add to your page. Choose the "Add" link listed underneath the song title. A dialog box appears asking you if you really want to add the song. Choose "Yes."

  10. Step 10

Return to your home page and choose to view your profile. Your new song should automatically upload and begin playing within a few seconds.
