Many people use MySpace as a means of self-expression. Blogging is one way for users to express themselves through writing and MySpace makes this easy to do. If you want to publish a piece of writing on your MySpace blog but do not want the entire MySpace community to read it, MySpace offers a way to make that entry off limits to everyone other than the profile creator.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Sign into your MySpace account by entering your email address and password into the log in box.
Step2
Choose the "Blog" link located beneath your profile image.
Step3
Scroll down to the blog that you want to set to "Private" status.
Step4
Choose the "Edit" link at the bottom of the blog.
Step5
Scroll down to the end of the "Edit" screen. Choose the button that says "Diary."
Step6
Choose the "Preview and post" button.
Step7
Choose the "Post blog" button. Your blog is now invisible to everyone who views your profile.

Tips & Warnings

  • The title of your blog still appears on your profile page, but no one is permitted to access the blog other than you.
  • Use caution when publishing personal information on the Internet. Privatize any and all information you do not want others to view. Use good judgment when publishing personal information of any nature.
