How to Level a World of Warcraft Hunter to Level 70
The Hunter is one of the most enjoyable and satisfying classes to play in World of Warcraft. As a hunter, you get to tame a variety of pets and train them. While the hunter is an easy class to solo with when questing, hunters are also highly sought after by groups who want to raid or run instances, since hunters give valuable buffs to all party members.

1
Tame your first pet at level 10 when you get the ability to tame. This may seem a little confusing at first, but simply right-click onto the beast you want to tame, and then click the "tame beast" button on your action bar. Right clicking will select the beast without initiating combat with it. When the beast is tamed, name it by right clicking on its icon and choosing "name." You have your first pet!
-
2
Solo all of the quests as much as possible. While grouping for quests may complete them faster, you will lose experience points that way. Group only for quests where you have to get an item or two, a named non-player character (NPC), or for recommended group quests.
-
-
3
Get a lot of rest saved up by going 2 or 3 days without playing. Kills made on rest give double experience points and let you level twice as fast.
-
4
Join groups for instances as often as possible. Instances give high experience points, and hunters are valuable additions to groups. You'll also meet plenty of players by grouping who can help you later with group quests.
-
5
Tame a variety of different beasts to become your pet. Different beasts come with their own special abilities, and your hunter will learn how to train other pets those abilities.
-
6
Learn the skills to be self sufficient. Fishing and cooking for food, skinning and leather working for gear, or mining and engineering for gunsmithing. Hunters are masters of the wilderness and need to learn skills to survive in the wilderness.
-
7
Decide the spec you want your hunter to be, either Beast Master, Marksmanship or Survival. Beast Master is considered best for questing solo, while Marksmanship is preferred for grouping because of its buffs and Silencing Shot. You can change your spec at any time for a small fee of gold to the Hunter Trainer.
-
8
Join a guild. Guilds can offer help to low level players, provide a ready pool of players for grouping, and be a source of valuable information when questing. Some guilds will even help you pay for a mount.
-
9
Wear gear that has mostly agility, intelligence and stamina. These are the most important stats for a hunter, and hunters are particularly gear dependent. If the drops you get from quests and instances are lacking, supplement your gear with purchases from the auction house.
-
10
Keep your training up to date. Visit the Hunter Trainer at least every two levels, and always buy all of the training available. Most skills are only available on the even-numbered levels, so make sure to train at those levels.

Tips & Warnings
Be courteous and kind to other players. Nobody will want to group with you if you are mean and inconsiderate to others.
