Drawing the character Naruto can be done fairly easily, with a basic understanding of the fundamentals of drawing. As always, use a pencil and being by sketching basic shapes. Follow the tips below for drawing a front-view of Naruto.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Things You’ll Need:

  • Pencil
  • Eraser
  • Paper
  • Pen
  • Colored pencils
  • Markers
Step1
Begin with a circle for the head, like most drawings. Add a rounded triangular shape to the bottom of the circle to indicate the chin and cheekbones.
Step2
Draw the eyes next. They should be placed halfway between the top and bottom of the circle. They will be large and round-shaped, like most anime characters. Darken the top eyelashes, and add slightly bent eyebrows. The pupils of the eyes are round and large also.
Step3
Add the mouth, nose and ears. The nose is simply a curved line indicating the center of the nose and two nostrils. The mouth may be drawn open or closed, but is a simple line smile. The top of the ears begin at eye level and end at the nose. Not much of the ears are seen; they should be only a small curved line with a bit of shading. Naruto also has three whiskers on each cheek.
Step4
Next, draw the headband or bandana that is worn around his head, covering his forehead. It is tied in back, which cannot be seen with a front-view. The thickest part of the bandana is in the center of the forehead, and it gets a bit thinner on the sides.
Step5
Draw hair on the head, above the headband. The hair stands straight up and is wild in sort of spikes. Don't attempt to draw each strand of hair, but instead clumps of hair. The chunks of hair need to vary in size and height a bit.
Step6
Make all corrections and adjustments. Remove all the extra, original lines with an eraser.
Step7
Blacken the permanent lines with pen or black marker. Color in the picture. Colored pencils or markers usually work best.
