Enter Expedia.com into your address bar or a search engine to be directed to the Expedia website, or see below in the Resources section.

Decide what you need for your trip. Choose between airplane tickets, a cruise line, train tickets, hotels or rental cars. Select the options under the "Build a trip" section. It's possible to select your trip's components separately, but if you book your trip as a package, you save money.

Input the destination and dates of your trip. Include the number of rooms you need and the number of people traveling with you. When booking a flight, include the airport you are departing from.

Click the "Search" button. Expedia searches for all the components you need. This step may take a few moments.

Scroll through the options Expedia finds for you. Choose to list the options by price, Expedia picks, name of company, city, class, or travelers options. Expedia automatically chooses the cheapest flight for you.

Choose the options you want to book. Click the "Choose and continue" button on the hotels page. Choose "This flight" on the flights page. Choose the "Select" button on the car rental page.

Review your trip information. From this page, either continue to book more travel options for your trip, make changes to the reservation or save the itinerary for later.

Book your trip by clicking the "Continue booking trip" option. Expedia then offers lists of activities in your trip's location. Add these activities by clicking the "Add" button and choosing a day to attend the activity. If you are not interested in any activities, scroll down and click "Continue to book package."

Sign in or sign up to finalize the trip. An Expedia account is free and required to complete your reservations. Only an email address is needed to sign up for the account.

Input your contact information. Expedia also needs you to add your fellow travelers' information if more than one person is going on the trip.

Click the "Proceed with booking" button. Expedia give you a breakdown of your trip details along with a total price. Read through the rules and regulations for your trip. Click "I agree with rules and regulations" to continue booking your travel.

Enter your billing information into the form and click "Complete this purchase." The next page lists all of your confirmation numbers and ticket information. Print the information and take it with you on your trip. You need all of your confirmation numbers and your ticket numbers from Expedia to travel.
