How to Jump Start your Metabolism

Improving your metabolism will help you to lose weight, stay energized throughout the day, and live a healthier life.

Things You'll Need:

  • Will-power
  • Self-discipline
  1. Step 1

    Instead of 3 big meals per day, eat 5 small meals or snacks throughout the day. A steady stream of food throughout the day helps boost your metabolism more so than 3 separate meals.

  2. Step 2

    Be active at least 20 minutes per day. This can be a merely going for a walk, or a game of basketball. Just move!

  3. Step 3

    Drink 8-10 glasses of cold water per day, and stay hydrated.

Tips & Warnings
  • While we don't specify what to eat, it's always best to eat nutritious foods.
  • Don't over exert yourself with exercise, as this can sometimes have adverse effects on your metabolism.
  • Do not skip breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day to start your day with a high metabolism!
  • If you work at a desk all day, be sure to take your breaks. Get up and stretch your legs every hour.
