Step1
Put away your wallet! Courtesy of London's Department for Culture, Media and Sport, admission to the Museum of London is free.
Step2
Take the London Underground to visit the Museum of London. Close to the famous Barbican Centre, you can take the subway to the Barbican, St. Paul's or Moorgate stations. The gallery is just a short walk from all three.
Step3
Arrive by bus. London bus numbers 4, 8, 25, 56, 100, 172, 242 and 521 all stop near the Museum of London. For specific directions from your point of origin, use Transport for London's "Journey Planner" (see Resources below).
Step4
Know that the Museum of London houses many interactive and audio-visual displays oriented towards young visitors and children. Its exhibits remain very popular with younger museum-goers.
Step5
Visit before 5:30 p.m. At that time, museum staff stop admitting new patrons for the day and begin to clear the gallery of current patrons.
Step6
Enjoy the Museum of London seven days a week. It is open Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. until 5:50 p.m. Sundays, the museum opens at noon rather than 10 a.m. and closes at its normal time. The museum is closed from December 24 to 26 and on New Year's Day.
Step7
Plan your visit. Familiarize yourself with the different exhibitions and collections by visiting the Museum of London's official website (see Resources below). The facilities are fully accessible to the handicapped and persons with disabilities. Further information for special-needs patrons can be found on the museum website.
Step8
Check ahead for any special exhibitions that may be coming to the Museum of London. Themed exhibits, community cultural projects and guest collections are offered at varying times throughout the year. See the Museum of London's "Events & Exhibitions" page for current details (see Resources below).

Tips & Warnings
