Ghosts have a bad reputation as entities to be avoided at all costs, but in some cases, they can be a source of insight and wisdom. Those who choose to summon ghosts may benefit from this insight, provided they handle the process in the correct fashion.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Thermometer
  • Video camera

Prepare to Communicate With the Spirit World

  1. Step 1

Purchase a thermometer. Some report that paranormal activity is marked by a sudden drop in temperature, and a thermometer will serve to immediately alert you to such a shift.

  2. Step 2

Choose a spirit with whom you wish to communicate. As is the case with living, it's easiest to reach out to the dead if you're able to address them by name.

  3. Step 3

Obtain a video camera. As you summon ghosts, you may doubt some of the things you've seen and experienced after they occur. Use of a video camera can provide proof of what transpired for your benefit and the benefit of others.

  4. Summon and Communicate With Ghosts

  5. Step 1

Begin with a blessing. Ask your higher power to guide and protect you in your efforts.

  6. Step 2

Clear your mind. Relax, breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth. This well help get your senses attuned and ready for your paranormal adventure.

  7. Step 3

Start recording the events using a video camera.

  8. Step 4

Summon the spirit you wish to reach. Address it by name, and request its presence. Continue this process until you observe a response.

  9. Step 5

Understand that one form of response involves a temperature change, so keep a thermometer nearby to keep track of this. The spirit's response may also take the form of tapping. Finally, the spirit may make its presence known by sending you an ache related to the way in which it died (for example, if communicating with someone who died via hanging, you may experience an ache in the neck).

  10. Step 6

Make sure you've reached the spirit you intended to reach by having it identify itself. Say its name and ask it to tap once or twice to confirm its presence.

  11. Step 7

Ask the spirit the questions you want answered, using the tapping sequence established in the previous step to identify "yes" and "no" responses.

  12. Step 8

End the experience with courtesy. Thank the spirit for its time and tell it to go in peace.

Tips & Warnings
  • If at all possible, have your session supervised by an experienced medium.
  • As you summon ghosts, treat the spirits that you contact with the utmost respect. Remember, there have been cases reported in which angry spirits have made things very unpleasant for the living, so you'll want to do your best to maintain cordial relations.
  • If you begin receiving threatening answers to your questions, or if the spirit begins acting in a violent way, immediately end the session by telling the spirit to go in peace.

on 9/7/2009 Seriously, religion has completely warped the minds of some people, causing them to think spirits are demonic and evil...some spirits ARE negative, but some are positive, helping us through our lives in ways that we often don't notice. When your in a negative mood, and suddenly you get a thought that makes you happier, that's an example of spirits helping you...

on 4/10/2009 i belive that demons ghosts spirits and other such entities do exsist, not all are demon, not all or possibly any are what you think they are. the thing about this is you have no clue who or what you are dealing with. very much like us humans these things can manipulate and cloud our judgement. so dont tell this person that they are stupid, and your the one being narrow minded as to say that among demons, ghosts do not exist. there are things beyond our capabilities of understanding out there, and you have no proven fact that ghosts dont exist. when in all reality, we have no proof in the first place to base that on. only expeiriences and beliefs.

on 11/29/2008 You have no idea what you are talking about. Each spirit you are talking about is a demon not a ghost. I can prove this to you. But youre probably so narrow minded that you'll dismiss this. Ghosts don't exist. The ones that you think are ghosts are familiar spirits that were around a human there whole life. Thats why they know so much about that person. Get your facts straight before you send others to demons
