Things You'll Need:
- Eraser
- Pencil
- Paper
-
Step 1
Draw a slightly squashed horizontal circle (called an ellipse) with very light pencil strokes.
-
Step 2
Draw a longer, horizontal ellipse that covers about half of the first ellipse you drew. This should be drawn lightly, as you will erase parts of the line.
-
Step 3
Erase all of the lines inside the two ellipses. This will create the large-cheeked shape of the bunny's head.
-
Step 4
Redraw the areas where the two ellipses meet to make the head shape more cohesive. You don't want your bunny's head to look like two bubbles atop each other.
-
Step 5
Give your bunny some floppy ears. Before you begin, remember that the ears will be behind the head. Draw downward-pointing ellipses, that taper to be narrower at the ends.
-
Step 6
Sketch in the bunny rabbit's body. The shape is just like a 2-liter bottle of soda, without the neck.
-
Step 7
Draw the bunny feet. Place a slightly outward-tilting, vertical ellipse at either side of the base of the body. Your bunny is sitting up, so you won't need to draw legs.
-
Step 8
Add on some bunny arms. Place the arms near the top of the body. Draw a blob-like ellipse that is thicker in the middle than at either end. Then draw another on the bunny's other shoulder.
-
Step 9
Blacken in two circles for cartoon bunny eyes.
-
Step 10
Draw a slightly rounded, upside-down triangle below the eyes for the little bunny nose.
-
Step 11
Draw a smiling mouth below the bunny nose. An upward curve will do nicely.
-
Step 12
Place a circle on each of the bunny's cheeks to give him a more teddy-bear type of look.
-
Step 13
Sketch bunny toes on the feet by drawing three small ovals along the top edge of each foot. Then add the footpad by placing another, larger oval at the center of each foot.
-
Step 14
Place the same four ovals on one of the bunny's upper paws. Leave the other alone to indicate that one paw is facing the bunny's body.
