Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Step1
Be selective. Ask yourself which area of town you want to go out in, what kind of music you want to listen to, what kind of crowd you want to mix with and what kind of prices you’d like to pay.
Step2
Find out what’s on this week. Use a magazine, newspaper or website that has club listings for the area/type of music/price range you want.
Step3
Make sure you ask people what they think of certain clubs. Often you can learn most from your friends and colleagues, or even try asking people you meet when you’re out and about.
Step4
Narrow your search by looking for where specific DJ’s or bands are performing. If an artist you particularly like is performing somewhere you haven’t heard of, this can be a good excuse to visit somewhere new. Even if the venue isn’t up to scratch, at least you’ll have seen your favourite musician and probably still have a good time.
