How to Find the Best Weeknight Clubs in Dublin

Dublin is the capital city of Ireland and, as you’d expect, it plays host to some of the best and most lively clubs in the country. Nowadays weeknights in the city can often be even better than weekends as they attract more students and travellers, keen to enjoy the music.

1. Be selective. Ask yourself which area of town you want to go out in, what kind of music you want to listen to, what kind of crowd you want to mix with and what kind of prices you’d like to pay.
2. Find out what’s on this week. Use a magazine, newspaper or website that has club listings for the area/type of music/price range you want.
3. Make sure you ask people what they think of certain clubs. Often you can learn most from your friends and colleagues, or even try asking people you meet when you’re out and about.
4. Narrow your search by looking for where specific DJ’s or bands are performing. If an artist you particularly like is performing somewhere you haven’t heard of, this can be a good excuse to visit somewhere new. Even if the venue isn’t up to scratch, at least you’ll have seen your favourite musician and probably still have a good time.

• Wednesdays is generally speaking a popular student night out. If you look hard enough there should be plenty of cheap or even free bars and clubs on this weeknight.
