Hearses are not what they appear to be. If you thought a hearse was only for transporting the dead from the church to the cemetery, think again. People of all walks of life buy hearses to pimp them out to their liking, then show their masterpieces to whoever becomes captivated by its deathly glow.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Research what other hearses are selling for in your area and on websites that sell used hearses. Check the Kelly's Blue Book value for your particular make and model. Talk to funeral directors, or even churches or temples, to see if they can help you determine the value of your hearse.

  2. Step 2

Price your hearse according to your findings. If your hearse is in mint condition with all parts fully functioning, it may be in high demand and you can charge a premium. If your hearse has seen better days, then price it competitively.

  3. Step 3

Write an appealing "for sale" ad. Include all important information such as make, model, year, mileage and condition. Plus anything you think is unique and you feel the buyer should know about your hearse. Include the price or just contact information.

  4. Step 4

List your hearse in classifieds or online.

  5. Step 5

Make your hearse stand out. A first impressions makes a lasting impression. Your hearse should be in good working order and detailed before showing it to prospective customers.

Tips & Warnings
  • Buyers will trust you more if you are completely honest about the condition of your hearse. Trust is important to prospective buyers, especially when purchasing a used item.
  • Craigslist.org is a great website for selling vehicles to a local market.
