Get the iPhone
Step1
Ask yourself if you really need it. To begin with, you should know that the iPhone is a cell phone, and is exclusive to AT&T. If you already have a functional cell phone with another company, it may not be wise to cancel your contract and buy an iPhone just yet. Better to wait until your contract expires, then sign with AT&T and get an iPhone.
Step2
Start saving. The iPhone, as one might expect, isn’t cheap. Expect to pay (after sales tax and possibly shipping fees if you buy online) $550 to $650 for the iPhone itself. The basic iPhone runs $499, but that’s if you sign a two-year contract with AT&T. If this doesn’t appeal to you, you may want to consider an alternative, such as an iPod (if you don’t already have one) or a hand-held PC of some kind (like a Blackberry). Also note that AT&T can (and probably will) require a large deposit if your credit score isn’t exceptional.
Step3
Check your local electronics retailer. While their online stores may not have any details, most major retailers will probably (if they aren’t already) take reservations on iPhones. If you’re the type who needs to have the latest and greatest gadget as soon as possible, find your local electronics store and ask about a reservation.
Step4
Check for it online, often. Many online retailers have little or no details about the iPhone, but keep an eye on them. Their postings will change shortly before the iPhone is released.
Step5
Mark your calendar. The official release date for the iPhone is June 29, 2007.
Step6
Read the fine print! There are a lot of online auctions for iPhone merchandise, even now. Be sure to read exactly what you’re bidding on Before you place your bid. Lots of people are selling iPhone-related goods or even iPhone-related email addresses and domain names. They may have the picture of the iPhone on the site, but be aware that what you see is not always what you get. Be cautious, be thorough and make absolutely sure you know what you’re bidding on.
iPhone Features
Step1
The iPhone has the usual features, including a calendar and address book. It syncs with your PC or Mac and can import calendar and address book files from Outlook, Outlook Express or Entourage.
Step2
It also features email and can receive HTML mail from Yahoo Mail, Gmail, AOL and .Mac Mail, as well as Internet access. The cool thing is that you can receive email and read a web page simultaneously, plus view maps, widgets and download videos from YouTube.
Step3
The iPhone includes a 2 megapixel camera and a 3.5-inch display screen. Photos can be sent to a Mac or PC via iTunes.
Step4
It even includes an MP3 player. The iPhone is a fully functional iPod, with either 4 or 8 gigabytes of space to store music, pictures, movies and all the other goodies you're used to storing in an iPod. Like the iPod, the iPhone uses iTunes to organize things, so if you dont already have it, download it at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/.

on 6/22/2007 Hmm, I dont think it's useless. I had no idea it costs so much. I also didnt know that you have to put down a deposit to reserve one if your credit is bad. For an item as secret as the iPhone, any information is better than none.
