This article will teach you how to make a homemade cheeseburger casserole.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb Ground beef
  • 1 Small onion (chopped up - optional)
  • 1 8 Ounce can of tomato sauce
  • 1/4 Cup kethcup
  • 1/8 Teaspoon of pepper
  • 6-8 Slices of cheese
  • 1-2 Cans ( 8 ounce) refrigerated biscuits
  • Skillet
  • Oven preheated to 400 degrees F
  • Strainer
  • Eight inch baking pan
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  1. Step 1

In large skillet breakup beef and brown (over medium high heat). Add chopped onions (optional), if not salt to taste. Once beef is cooked drain the grease off the beef and put back into skillet.

  2. Step 2

Stir in 1 8 ounce can of tomato sauce, 1/4 cup of kethcup, and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Let this sit on the heat, stir every minute or so, until mixture is slightly bubbling. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

  3. Step 3

Spread half of beef mixture on bottom of 8 inch baking pan and put down 4-6 cheese slices. Cover with rest of the beef mixture. Open can of refrigerated biscuits and line edge of pan with them. You can cover the whole casserole with the biscuits, but this will require two cans of biscuits or a large can.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not overcook the casserole or the biscuits will be burnt.
  • Make sure the beef is cooked all the way through.....some sections will look done and others will not be cooked well.
