Shampoo Fine Hair
-
1
Look for gentle shampoos labeled for daily or frequent washing.
-
2
Purchase clear, protein enriched shampoos to strengthen fine hair.
-
-
3
Choose shampoos that contain panthenol. Hair experts advise that panthenol can penetrate the hair follicle and thicken fine hair.
-
4
Wash fine hair daily to remove excess oils from the scalp. An oily scalp makes hair lay flat.
-
5
Cleanse hair once a week with a clarifying shampoo to remove hair product residue and make your hair bouncy like the commercials!
Conditioner for Fine Hair
-
6
Condition hair after shampooing to get rid of tangles.
-
7
Apply conditioners only from mid-shaft to the ends of the hair because fine hair is often excessively oily at the scalp.
-
8
Use conditioners with oil absorbing tea tree oil if your hair is excessively oily.
-
9
Consider spray conditioners. They are lighter and don't weigh the hair down.

Tips & Warnings
Dry shampoo or talcum powder will absorb excess oil and add body to fine hair between shampooing.
Shampooing hair twice is unnecessary, unless you have an excessively oily scalp.
The amount of lather or foam is produced by air bubbles and has little to do with the quality of the shampoo.
After each shampoo, always rinse hair thoroughly to avoid fine, limp hair that looks dull and lifeless.
Avoid waxes, molding muds and polishers that make fine hair look limp and greasy. Instead, use lightweight gels or hair pastes to style hair without adding weight.
Shiner mists and silicone sprays make fine hair look greasy and flat. Fine hair is shiny on its own without all that extra product.
Not all fine hair needs heavy conditioning.
Avoid creamy shampoos that add weight to hair.
Avoid products intended to create the "bed head" look like texture crèmes and stylers.

I have tried dozens of different conditioners but the Hydrate Conditioner from Shielo Hair succeeds them all. I have found that many conditioners can leave your hair looking a little greasy and worn down, especially if you have thin hair like me. However, after using the Hydrate Vibrancy Conditioner I feel as though I have just stepped out of a hair salon to get my hair professionally treated. It always leaves my hair with more body & shine and it smells great too! You can truely tell the difference after using it just one time.
