Set up a curriculum. Spend plenty of time on this part of your teaching endeavor. Make sure you have a large portfolio of scenes and monologues for your students. Plan specific activities and guidelines for the students that take your class. This will help you get started and keep everyone involved on a schedule.

5
Work hard. Once you set your goal to teach an actor's workshop, you will need to work hard. If you work hard, your students will be inspired to work hard as well.
-
6
Show openness and kindness to your actors. Creative people tend to be emotional and may need more hand holding and less tough love.
-
7
Go into each class with energy. If you want your students to be high energy actors, and you should, you will need to practice what you preach.
-
8
Reign in your expectations. There are going to be actors interested in learning the art without any previous experience. These newcomers will need a bit more basics instruction than those who have had more experience.
