How to Hide a Hangover From the Boss

Maybe it was your birthday. Maybe it was your friend's birthday. Maybe it was the guy at the other end of the bar's birthday. The reason really doesn't matter. Somehow, after a few drinks, good times turned into a terrible hangover the next day. Unfortunately, you still have to go to the office. Read on to learn how to hide a hangover from the boss.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Clean up and get ready for work. Go through your normal routines. Shower. Brush your teeth. Do all of the other basic "hygiene" upkeep rituals that are a part of your morning. It's not going to help to get that extra 30 minutes of sleep.

  2. Step 2

Take some medicine. If your head is absolutely killing you, take some acetaminophen or ibuprofen. If you think your stomach isn't going to hang with you otherwise, take something to settle it. Just because you were a little dumb and drank too much the night before, doesn't mean you have to suffer. Go to the local convenience store and get their "hangover cure" medicine. Medicate yourself responsibly to feel the best you possibly can while at work.

  3. Step 3

Eat something and drink lots of water. You are dehydrated, and your body is in a weakened state. Make sure you drink water and lots of it. Eat something that either sounds really good to you or something you know is going to be easy on your stomach if it's a bit queasy. Getting some food and water in your system does a lot to balance out everything that's making you feel bad.

  4. Step 4

Make up an excuse for being a bit under the weather. If you normally wear contacts, wear your glasses and say your allergies are really acting up. If you have kids, you can say you caught a bug from them, but you're sure it will pass by tomorrow. Say your neighbors had a wild party and you were up all night with the noise. As long as this isn't a usual behavior, and as long as you don't still stink of alcohol, your boss is just going to assume you don't feel well.
