How to Submit SAT Scores to a University or College

Your score on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) is an important part of your application to a university or college. Ensure that the colleges and universities to which you are applying receive your SAT scores before the application deadline to avoid a declined or postponed acceptance. Read on to learn how to submit SAT scores to a university or college.

Instructions

Step1
Visit the College Board website to register for the SAT and select the four colleges or universities you wish to receive your SAT score reports. You can change the schools receiving your score reports until midnight on the Tuesday of the week following your test day. Use the "My SAT" link to create or log in to your College Board account.
Step2
Use the "Scores" link on the College Board website to access the scores page if you need to send additional SAT score reports. Click on the "View and Send Scores" button. After entering your login credentials, click on "Send Available Scores." You will be able to search for colleges and scholarship programs by name, state or code. Make your selections and then choose from regular or rush delivery.
Step3
Provide your credit card information for any additional score reports requested. There will be a charge of $9.50 for each additional score report.
Step4
Download and print the "Archived Score Report Form" on the College Board website if you need to request SAT scores that are more than one year old. Provide your current name and address, name and address at the time of testing, registration number, test date, college codes and credit card information. Depending on the age of your SAT scores the price for each additional report will vary from $20 to $30.

Tips & Warnings

  • SAT score reports include all scores for any SAT tests you have taken.
  • Once you agree to the payment agreement for additional score reports you cannot cancel the request.
