Bored with your MySpace name, or--more officially--your "Headline"? Change it up to stand out on your buddies' friends lists. You could end up with dozens of friend requests based on your irresistible MySpace handle!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Go to your home page. Wherever you are, click on "Home" on the top left of the page. Then click on "Edit Profile" to the right of your default picture.

  2. Step 2

Change your name. In the first field, labeled "Headline," delete the name that currently appears as your Headline. Type in your new name.

  3. Step 3

Incorporate glyphs. If you want to set yourself apart from the "Average Joe" on MySpace, insert glyphs to pack some punch. The HTML code for arrows, hearts and tons of other symbols can be found on Web sites like 123MySpace. Simply type in the code, which will contain the symbol "&", followed by the code and then ";". When you save the changes, MySpace will automatically convert the symbol for you.

  4. Step 4

Save the changes. Right above this field, click on the shaded "Save All Changes" button. This will save your Headline change along with any other information you updated on the page. Once the information has been saved, you will see "Profile Updated" in red, confirming the save.

  5. Step 5

View your masterpiece. Click on "View My Profile" in the upper right corner of the screen. This will take you to your updated profile—the page that everyone else sees. Double check that you're Headline appears the way you want.
