Step 1
Walk around your neighborhood and look for children that are of similar age to your children.

Approach the parents, introduce yourself and see if they belong to any neighborhood play groups. If so, get the contact information and join. If not, ask if they would like to help start a play group.

Ask your neighbors and friends if they know anyone that would like to help start a play group. You will need at least four members to get started.

Step 4
Call all of the prospective moms or dads and arrange to meet in the evening without the children.

Establish some play group guidelines at this meeting. Determine how often you will meet, where you will meet and the length of the play group sessions. If you have a very large group, you may want to split up into smaller play groups based on the ages of the children.
