How to Keep Hostile Jerks From Taking Over the World

Trying to stop hostile jerks from taking over the world is something that has kept the human race occupied since the first person walked the face of the earth. Sometimes we have succeeded, other times we have failed miserably. Still, no hostile jerks have ever succeeded in taking over the entire planet, at least not yet. This is a primer on making sure it doesn't happen.

1. Rally together a large number of people that believe hostile jerks should not take over the world. This shouldn't be hard to do, as most people don't relish the idea of hostile jerks taking over the world.

2. Hammer out a set of rules and regulations for running your world, or the portion of the world that you and the people that agree with you run. This set of rules and regulations is called a charter or a constitution.

3. Define a representative form of government in your charter, or constitution. Break the population of your country or province down by population and have a representative for each section. This representative must be required to support the people he represents by voting for measures that the majority of his people wish him to vote for.

4. Allow people your group comes in contact with to join you, or promise to peacefully co-exist with them, once you have the area that your people control under a representative form of government.

5. Declare that you agree that no hostile jerks will rule the planet during your talks and negotiations with other groups. This should be relativity easy to do because most people on the planet do not want hostile rulers, or rulers that are jerks! The best way to stop this from happening is to make a treaty between nations or groups that if any hostile jerks seize power and try to take over other groups or nations, that all of you form a coalition and remove those hostile jerks from power.

6. Enforce your constitution. If the hostile jerks happen to be from your own group or nation, then you must enforce the constitution or the charter that says persons shall have complete authority over everyone else and remove the hostile jerks from power.

7. Cooperate. In order that no one group gets so strong that hostile jerks from that group take power and threatens other groups, each member of the planetary council shall donate 10% of the total size of their military to the world military body that takes it's orders from the world council. The world council shall have the most powerful military on the planet. If any members of the world council tries to take over another group, the world counsel shall have the authority to make that nation or group cease and desist.

Tips & Warnings

• Keep it simple. The main focus should be that no hostile jerk shall take over the world.

• The world body should never have a leader serve more than four years and must not have any real power.

• The world body should have one purpose only. If people want other services from a world body they can form another organization. This limits contention among the members.

• In the event that all of the steps outlined above cannot be implemented, the best way for anyone to help make sure that no hostile jerks control the world is for them to become aware of what is happening in the world. Two sources that the above steps are based upon, the US Constitution and the Magna Carta should become familiar to anyone that doesn't want this to happen.

• No members of the world council should have any veto powers.
