The main function of a camera phone is to take pictures. With advanced technology even the most inexpensive camera phone takes clean, crisp photos without much trouble. But don't treat your camera phone like a second class citizen when it comes to taking photos. Take it more seriously and you'll be richly rewarded.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Learn To Take Better Camera Phone Pictures

Step1
Let the sun shine in! Try to take photos outdoors or turn up indoor lighting. Familiarize yourself with camera settings and learn how to use them.
Step2
Get closer to your subject. Camera phones have a low resolution, so you won't get the crisp, large pictures a regular digital camera can give you. To get the best results with a camera phone, you need to stay within a few feet of your subject.
Step3
Hold the camera steady. A wobbly hand will produce a blurry photo. Also remember to hold the camera up for awhile after snapping the shot. There's a delay between the time you push the shutter and the time most camera phones actually record the shot.
Step4
Keep all your pictures. Even if a photo looks blurry or unusable on your camera phone screen, look at it on a computer before deleting it. It may look a lot better on the big screen.
Step5
Adjust your camera phone to the highest resolution. This will greatly improve the quality of your shots. High resolution camera phone photos result in larger files, so they take up lot of space on your camera or computer hard drive and take longer to send.

Take Advantage Of Camera Phone Functions

Step1
Jog your memory. Use cell cameras to record where you've parked in that big lot at the shopping mall, or that hard-to-read street address in an odd location, like an industrial park.
Step2
Ask for directions. Instead of depending on vague memories when you're driving, snap photos of exit signs, buildings, or other signposts. Bring them up when you need a reminder on your next trip to moderately familiar surroundings.
Step3
Add a face to the name. Most cell phone address books enable you to add a photograph above each contact name. It only takes a second and is especially helpful for salespeople and others who need to keep track of names and faces for business purposes.
Step4
Photograph a document. If you need to print out a letter or document, but don't have access to a printer, just snap a photo with your cell camera. You can also enlarge the file later if needed.
Step5
Expose creeps and stalkers. Whether you encounter a scam artist in the street or at your doorstep, it's perfectly legal to snap their picture, provided you ask permission first. Many women are now taking pics of men who harass them at the street and posting them on blogs or websites.
Step6
Prove your case. Use your camera phone to snap pics that show damage done by an errant roommate or neighbor. Snap pictures when you are involved in a fender bender or any other accident or dispute for positive proof of what really happened.
