1. Be practical. Dress a dog in a coat when venturing outdoors in the winter. Know that an indoor dog will get chilled just like a person when there are extreme temperature changes.

2. Choose a matching outfit for you and your dog. Wear your outfit to the store when purchasing fido's so that you can make a good match.

3. Do not forget the holidays. Make your dog the hit of the party by dressing it in a festive new outfit for your dog during the holidays.

4. Choose lighter outfits for summer time. Do not overheat your poor dog by dressing it in a sweater during the middle of summer. A thin tank top will do the dog just fine.

5. Put your dog in a sweater all winter long. Help reduce some shedding and keep the doggy warm when you put it in a sweater.

6. Add a doggy hat for some fun. Take your dog to the pet shop when purchasing a dog hat so that you can get the size correct the first time.
