Geeks may not be as exciting as some potential mates, but they often have qualities that make them excellent partners. Their intelligence makes them interesting to talk to and their famous technical savvy comes in handy around the house. If you learn how to balance their personalities, you can enjoy a long and happy relationship.

1. Use bold actions and language. Geeks tend to be polite, defensive and introverted. Subtlety does not work with geeks. If you are subtle, they may not be sure you are serious. They need clear signs.

2. Show your humor and intelligence. Geeks are self-assured and you don't have to worry about activating their insecurities. This will also prove to your geek partner you can go one-on-one with him in intelligent conversation and witty banter.

3. Treat her as a self-sufficient person. Geeks are low-maintenance people who thrive on independence. They do not need to be overly pampered or constantly adorned.

4. Learn his language. If he is into computer programming, learn some basic terms so you can listen to him and occasionally respond intelligently. You do not have to be an expert, but a desire to learn more will keep him intrigued. This will also help him feel at ease talking to you and bring him out of his shell.

5. Help her experience new things. Every once in awhile get her away from the computer and take her on a walk in the park. While this may not always go over very well, she may find trying different things exciting.
