Dreamweaver is a wonderful program to use to create a website for many personal or business-related projects. Creating a web photo album in Dreamweaver may seem difficult at first but it's not because it's also a relatively easy program to use. Just follow these step-by-step instructions and you'll be well on your way.

Instructions

Difficulty: Moderate

Things You’ll Need:

  • Dreamweaver software
  • Fireworks software
Step1
Place all the images that you want to use in one folder on your desktop. There is no need to shrink the images because Fireworks will do that for you.
Step2
Open a page in your Dreamweaver site and create a destination folder for your photo album. You can title it "photo album" or "album".
Step3
From the toolbar at the top of the page select "Commands/Create Web Photo Album". A dialog box will appear.
Step4
From here you will give the album a title and enter subheading information if you desire. Select the folder that your images are coming from (the desktop folder from Step 1) and choose the destination for the images (the destination folder created in Step 2). Pick the thumbnail size from the drop-down menu and then the number of columns you want listed on your thumbnails page.
Step5
Click on "OK" and watch the thumbnails being created for all the pictures. Fireworks will display a message telling you that the album is complete after a couple of minutes. You can now view your album.

Tips & Warnings

  • A recommended size for thumbnails is 100 x 100.
