How to Cooking Salmon in a Dishwasher.

It may sound crazy, but it's true. You can look past the oven to your dishwasher to provide tonight's dinner. Your dishwashing machine provides the perfect environment for poaching salmon.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Salmon fillets
  • Aluminum foil
  • Lemon
  • Several pats of butter
  • Electric dishwasher
  1. Step 1

    Rinse your dishwasher to rid it of any soap or detergent residue.

  2. Step 2

    Place the salmon on aluminum foil.

  3. Step 3

    Place lemon juice and pats of butter on salmon fillets.

  4. Step 4

    Seal the fillets well in foil, and place the foil packets in the upper basket of your dishwasher.

  5. Step 5

    Close the dishwasher door, setting the dishwasher on the hottest wash cycle. Select the drying cycle as well, and let it run through a full wash cycle.

  6. Step 6

    Remove your poached salmon from the dishwasher at the end of the cycle.

  7. Step 7

    Let the salmon cool a bit and enjoy.

Tips & Warnings
  • Do not add soap or detergent to the dishwasher for the cycle in which you're cooking the fish.
