Step1
Make sure you have a DVD burner on your computer. This is obviously essential, and they range from affordable to very expensive. You can find cheap used and new DVD burners on sites like NewEgg.
Step2
Check to see if you already have free DVD burning software. If your computer had a DVD burner built in when you bought it, there is a good chance that you already have software. If you added a DVD burner or do not like the DVD burning software on your computer, there is free software that will allow you to burn DVDs.
Step3

Step4
Open DeepBurner, select "Create data CD/DVD" and click on the "Next>>" button. Next decide what kind of session you want to create.
Step5
Drag files that you want to burn to your DVD from the "Explorer" window to your new session's window. The bottom bar in the lower left corner of the session window will tell you how much space you have left on the DVD.
Step6
Click on "Burn Disk" on the left side of the session window when you are ready to burn your disk. Make sure the correct drive is selected and the speed is set. You have the option to save an image of your DVD session so you can come back and burn it later. Click on "Burn" when you have everything set.
Step7
Verify that the data burned correctly on your DVD. The burning process may take a while, so you will have to be patient. When it is done, open the DVD on your computer and try to open a file to make sure it works.
