Snow BMX is still a young sport. There are many active snow BMX racing clubs and organizations that popularize the sport and provide information and support for members. While finding ski bike clubs may not be as easy as finding ski or snowboard clubs, getting into this small but dynamic and growing community is fast and rewarding, much like the sport itself.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Get in touch with the American Ski Bike Association. You can contact the organization by snail mail or email (both addresses are available on their website). It's a great place to find information about local snow BMX clubs and organizations.

  2. Step 2

Attend ski bike events and competitions. There is no substitute for face-to-face meetings to get a feel for the ski bike community. Word of mouth will help inform you about the various ski bike clubs and organizations and which is the right fit for you.

  3. Step 3

Read snow BMX publications regularly. Magazines like Ski Bike Magazine are hubs of the snow BMX community, and frequently organize events and publicize local clubs.

  4. Step 4

Create your own club. Because snow BMX is so young, you can get in on the ground floor by creating your own club or organization to gather other ski bikers in your area. Write to the American Ski Bike Association to find out about opening a chapter.

Tips & Warnings
  • Consider approaching a local school, university, community center or ski resort as a way to find sponsorship for a new snow BMX club.
