College reunions are special times of getting together with old friends and reminiscing about college days. For some alumni, time was spent bonding with peers at parties and bars. When planning your reunion, serve a variety of drinks to satisfy the reunion crowd.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Add up the number of people who are attending the reunion.

  2. Step 2

Identify the drinks that were served at campus parties and events years ago.

  3. Step 3

Plan which type of drink the reunion committee would like to serve. Consider beer, wine, hard liquor, mixed drinks and non-alcoholic drinks.

  4. Step 4

Decide if the drinks will be self-serve or served by a bartender. That will make a difference to the types of supplies you buy.

  5. Step 5

Determine which type of each drink you want to serve. Does the food that will be served go better with red, white or sparkling wine? Does your crowd prefer domestic, imported, light, or dark beer?

  6. Step 6

Provide non-alcoholic beverages for guests who do not wish to drink, including soda pop, coffee, tea, ice water, and even non-alcoholic beer and wine.

Tips & Warnings
  • In the invitation to the reunion, include the question, "What was your favorite drink during your college years?" Use the data from this question to plan what drinks to serve.
  • A general rule of thumb for calculating drinks is 2.5 drinks per person.
  • One keg equals 168 cans of beer.
