How to Go to a Sorority Party

Ahh, the college life of a sorority girl. Endless parties, fraternity invitations and, of course, picking out the perfect outfit. Sorority parties are tons of fun, filled with smiles, laughter and creating great memories. There are a few things to keep in mind when getting ready for a party.

1. Plan your evening with the gals. You all may want to go out to dinner together first, then caravan over to the party as a group. Food before a party is always a good idea, if you plan to drink.
2. Ask if you are allowed to bring someone. If it is an all-girls party, can you bring your new girlfriend you just met in chemistry lab this semester? Or is it an open party, so you can bring your boyfriend? Or are you mingling with another fraternity, making the party closed to the public?
3. Pick out the perfect outfit. If the sorority party is just for the girls, you can go a little more casual, perhaps in jeans. If you are taking a date, then you will want to dress up a bit, with a cute skirt or dress. If you are a single gal headed to the fraternity house, then you want to look attractive, but not too inviting, because you might send the wrong message. The outfit says it all.
4. Choose a designated driver. Before you leave the house, decide who will be the designated driver, or have alternate means of getting home. Drink responsibly.
5. Go to the party and have a blast.
