Purse parties give women a chance to add to their accessories. For the woman who can never have too many purses, hosting a purse part is the ultimate experience. A purse party host receives free or discounted merchandise depending upon the number of purses sold.

Preparing for the Purse Party

Step 1

Select the basics such as date, location and product. Products vary from designer-inspired wholesale purses or original designs where party guests select a design and fabric. Find contacts for setting up a party at the Purse party website.
Step 2

Reserve the location and the product supplier. Some boutiques such as 1154 Lill Studio allow you to have the purse parties in their stores.
Step 3

Create a guest list. Include family, friends, co-workers and encourage guests to bring a friend. Include physical and email addresses in the guest list.
Step 4

Design and make invitations. Invitations can be electronic or hard copy. The Evite website provides full service invitation creation and RSVP tracking.
Step 5

Send invitations at least 4 weeks in advance of the selected date.

Track RSVP accepts and regrets and let the supplier or designer know an approximate number of guests that will attend the purse party.
Step 7

Reconfirm the date with the designer or supplier a week before and the day before the purse party. Reconfirm the location and arrival time.

Hosting the Purse Party

Step 1

Provide light refreshments and beverages to create a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere where guests can enjoy the purse creating experience. Typical purse party refreshments are chips, cookies, dip or other light appetizers.
Step 2

Set up a work space to create purses, a display area for example purses and a refreshment area for appetizers and beverages about 1 to 2 hours before the party. About half an hour before guests are to arrive, place refreshments on refreshment table.
Step 3
